March 28, 2011.... As you may or may not know, the Pirate Bar on Fort Lauderdale Beach has closed its doors so that we may focus our energies on our other, growing business endeavor - The Pirate Republic Bar, Seafood & Grill at 400 SW Third Avenue in Downtown Fort Lauderdale.  We would like to thank all our friends for an AWESOME last 5 years.  It is with a heavy heart that our time in Pirate Alley has ended and we appreciate all the encouragement that we have received from locals and visitors from all over the world in the past years.  Many fun times were had and we will NEVER forget them.

It is now time to concentrate our pirate passion at the PIRATE REPUBLIC BAR, SEAFOOD & GRILL which has successfully grown into a staple for South Florida dining. Over the last 3 years, all our friends from Fort Lauderdale beach have helped us expand our dream and for that we are eternally grateful.

We will continue to share the pirate life with the City of Fort Lauderdale and beyond, and hope you will continue on the journey with us.
